Greetings Fellow 'Builders of the Kingdom',

Sometimes life throws you challenges that force you to...start over. I was reviewing this email before sending it out, when my hand hit something, and everything was gone.

That's on a microscopic small scale in comparison to what the island of Jamaica is experiencing.

We've spent the last five days trying to reconnect and hear from our many friends and ministry partners. Thankfully, most have reported in. What a relief to know their lives were spared. Unfortunately, most of their homes/roofs were not.

*Pastor Morris' little home in Golden Grove only has a foundation to prove that anything used to be there.

*Constance's home lost the roof, consequently much water damage. She has been using our van in our absence. With all the zinc and things flying through the air, the van was untouched. Praise God.

*The school lost it's roof or partially, resulting in much loss inside no doubt, due to wind and water damage.

At least 77% of the island has no power, and no internet/phone. Golden Grove is in that number.

Our long time friend, Victor White, in Manchester, said he charges his phone in the car, then goes to the top of a hill to get signal.

It is almost impossible to imagine the extent of the devastation. Picture an F5 tornado making a 100 mile swath across the island. Where lush tropical trees covered the land, there's mostly sticks where the trees used to be. Fruit trees and gardens are gone. Most roads are impassible from floods, mudslides, blocked by trees, or washed away. In our dear friend, Pastor Fitzroy Williams' case, a bamboo forest blocked a long stretch.

The stores are challenged with no power. They sold a lot of their stock before the storm.

We heard there is no fuel in St Ann's Bay.

We met Vin and Vinny, twins, in Negril seven or eight years ago. They came to our home in Discovery Bay once. One of them has a little girl who he named his glass bottom boat after. They are hard working young men, who have built a business through hardships and setbacks. They have pretty much lost everything. Still getting reports as to the severity.

Our brother, Pastor Jason, close to Linstead, is still updating us by sending pictures and videos of the loss in their community.

But, one thing for sure, Jamaicans are the most creative, hard working people we know. It's amazing how much clearing and clean up has happened already as they all work together.

A special note: There are many scammers who will take advantage of you and the situation, unfortunately. If you want to help with the disaster relief, only give to those you know, or a well known organization. If you don't have anyone you currently work with, we invite you to give through The God Size Vision INC.

Go to the website, www.thegodsizevision.com and click on the PayPal button to make your donation.

At the top of the page is an 'updates' button to get the daily updates and pictures as they come in.

Or you can bypass that and go straight to the link below to donate to

This is the time, the season is now for repentance and Godly sorrow, a time for a revival stronger than Melissa.

There's a famous Scripture in 2 Chronicles 7 vs 14 that says, "....Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear (you) from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal (restore) their land."

Have you ever read verse 13 though?

"At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshopper to devour your crops, or send plagues among you."

...or send a mighty, destructive Hurricane...

vs 14 "THEN if my people will 1. humble themselves 2. pray 3. seek my face 4. TURN from their wicked ways..."

He promises to *hear you, forgive you, and heal and restore you.

God ALWAYS keeps His promises.

It is a conditional promise though. "If you.....then I".

We can claim this promise for the US as well.

If now is not the time, then when?

If we are not the ones, then who?

God is at work in Jamaica! Pray with us, believe with us, give with us to see Jamaica respond to a loving heavenly Father, Who is trying to get their attention.

Blessings,

Ed and Celeste Hobelman
