July 2026 News Letter
From Celeste;
Greeting from hot Indiana,
Have you ever wondered about the Names of God. The Names He has allowed us to know Him by describe the ways in which He interacts with us, for the most part.
We know Him as Provider, Protector, Healer, and many more.
Last week, when I was in the hospital for a diverticulitis flare, my visitors and I were discussing the Names of God. When they left, I was praying and the words of an old hymn came to my mind;
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name.
There to my heart was the Blood applied. Glory to His Name;
The thought hit me, “the Blood was applied to more than just my heart,
that makes Him Savior”. Then I thought; there to my.....colon
was the Blood applied! Glory to His Name....Healer!
There to my Gall Bladder, Ed's lungs, was the Blood applied!
Glory to His Name!! HEALER!
He is EVERYTHING you need. He is your Savior, your
Provider, Protector, your Bread, Water, Heat, Cool...you can
literally trust Him for everything.
By His stripes we ARE healed.
His blood has been applied to every situation that can ever arise.
Glory to His Name!
From Ed;
WE flew into Florida May 13th spent the night at Hobe Sound and drove to Fort Pierce the next morning. We visited Missionary Flights International [MFI] to see if there is an opportunity for us there. They said there was an opening for service at the Hospitality Center. We made an appointment to return and interview for a position there in July.
We also passed thru other places in Florida looking for a place to call home in Fla.
We made it to South Carolina to visit my brother Eric, and spent the weekend there.
We next visited our Granddaughter, for a day, who is spending the summer in N.C.
Then on to Virginia to visit Celeste’s brother, Mark, for a few days.
Then on to Indiana. At our ages we want to see our loved ones as often as we can.
From Celeste;
Indiana was in full spring bloom when we returned. Lots of excitement was underway the month of June. Katie, Doug and Joy's daughter, is 18 and graduated high
school. A big party was held at the home in Colfax and many friends and family came to wish her well and enjoy the food and fellowship.
The next week we attended Eric’s granddaughter’s wedding south of Indianapolis.
It was beautiful.
Prep for another big day started right away. Our son, Johnathan, married the love of his life, Elli Jones on June 26th. It was sweet and beautiful. We pray that they will be
found in the center of all the blessings of God on their lives.
It was the Sunday after the wedding that Ed came down with double Pneumonia and my awful experience with diverticulitis. I won't go into the painful details.
Today, Ed is recovering and I am claiming healing.
Due to the illnesses and the possibility of my needing surgery, the appointment at MFI was postponed to a later date.
Your prayers are appreciated for all God is doing in Jamaica and here on the home front.
Gavin is now enrolled at a school in Ocho Rios to get his GED equivalent starting in September.
We are seeking God’s vision for us in our advancing years. I am is 71 and Ed is 76.
As the song says “even down to old age all my people will prove My Sovereign eternal unchangeable love, and when hoary hairs shall their temples adorn, like lambs they shall still in my bosom be borne”.
Your prayers are needed so we can experience all God wants to do in us.
Blessings,
Ed and Celeste Hobelman
